What is Tae Kwon-Do?

Tae Kwon-Do is the art of self defence that originated in Korea.
When it came to this country it was initially taught to the armed forces as an effective form of unarmed combat, but is now practised by millions of men, women and children worldwide.

Tae Kwon-Do focuses on using explosive kicking techniques to disable an attacker, but has a variety of powerful hand and blocking techniques for close range defence as well.

Not just kicking and punching...

Tae Kwon-Do will benefit virtually anyone of any age, size or shape.
Learning to defend yourself is just the start, Tae Kwon-Do can also make you more confident, and fitter, increasing focus, power
inner strength and self discipline.

Who are the G.T.U.K?

The G.T.U.K. is the second largest association teaching Tae Kwon-Do in this country and has an extensive network of clubs in the United Kingdom.
It is a member of the British Tae Kwon-Do Council (B.T.C) which is recognised by the Sports Council as the only Governing body for Tae Kwon-Do in the United Kingdom.

All GTUK instructors have current CRB checks and constantly update their knowledge of the art by attending technical courses and seminars, and are fully qualified to teach you.

The GTUK has a strict child protection policy in place.
