Evaluation.....

With the stock handlebars the V-Max does not vibrate bad.  However, I found that when I installed the K&N
Superbike bars I picked up enough vibration to make my hands go numb.  I really liked the bars though and
wanted to keep them.  After e-mailing Robert Rayfield who designed and manufactures Buzz-off bar ends
that are claimed to reduce bar vibration, we decided to give them a try on the V-Max.

I removed the stock bar ends and went for a 10 minute ride.  I pulled over and in less than one minute had the
Buzz-off's installed.  First twist of the throttle I noticed a difference.  Robert warns in the installation
instructions that the lack of vibration will have you unknowingly ride faster.  This is true!  A noticeable
reduction in vibration!  This product works!

The only major distraction is the gap in grip area from removing the stock end caps.   A longer set of grips
will cover this right up though.  Some may find the unit distracting on your bars and will have to weigh the
benefits vs. looks.  If nothing else they would be great to install for those long rides with their easy installation.
The outer shell of the Buzz-off units are stainless steel with a "brushed" finish and appear well made and
should last a long time. They retail for $60.00(Canadian) or about $45.00 US

The best part is dealing with Robert Rayfield.   He was quick to respond, anxious to help and easy to deal with
.  He insisted that he won't sell it to you if it won't work.  A rare case these days...
