this is my 1997 yamaha vmax. this bike
was completely stock when i bought it 7 years ago. the first 3 years i
owned it it stayed that way. then i saw a max on ebay with parts on it i'd
never seen before-i bought it and rarely rode the 97. the bike came with a
folder of aftermarket suppliers and after 2 years of saving and research i
decided to do up the 97. this is what i have done to date-cobra slash cut
exhaust, r6 front brake calipers, stainless front brake lines, fjr 1300
front brake master cylinder and lever, metallic silver powdercoated carb
covers, billet V4 carb inlet covers, billet oil fill bolt, billet
transmission fill bolt, billet transmission breather cap, billet shock
toppers, billet axel nut, billet formula rearsets, billet waterpump elbow,
billet side mount liscense plate holder, billet rear brake torque arm,
polished waterpump housing, otec billet clear alternator cover, otec
billet clear midgear cover, otec billet clear clutch cover, otec billet
clear w aterpump cover, otec billet clear cam covers, oil pressure guage
kit, straight drag bars, barnett clutch and plate conversion, billet
ignition key housing cover, 2" lowered sportmax seat, billet
undertail mounted led turn signals custom brackets, custom rear caliper
mounting bracket, r6 caliper on rear in stock position, stainless rear
brake line, stainless throttle cables, stainless clutch lines, complete r1
front end installed using custom triple trees including r1 front wheel, r1
front rotors, r1 front fender, custom engraved crankcase covers to match
vanity plate, vanity plate reading CLIMAX, taylor red plug wires, iridium
spark plugs, billet yamaha logo water jacket plug caps, custom 17"
gsxr rear wheel widened to 5.5 ", dunlop sportmax radial rear tire
190x50x17, custom shortened kickstand, modified tank cover-one off air
intakes and grills widened 2", custom widened scoops with custom led
arrow turn signals mounted inside, carbon fiber side panels, mv agusta
rear tail section, all bodywork painted candy gun-metal grey over
micro-metal flake silver with airbrushed checkered and union jack flags
($4000.00 done by born 2 be wild in the uk), chrome skull license plate
bolts, toyota red anti-freeze, and i am still working on a few other
things. i've got my heart and soul into this bike not to mention my life
savings lol!!!

Here is a pic of my v-max for the
gallery, it`s currently being worked on (17 inch wheels and
upgraded suspension), but hopefully it will be done by next spring.
It`s a 1993 2WE with thicker forks
and upgraded front brakes. Extras are aftermarket tail unit, frame brace
bars, steering damper, supertrapps.
