Rideout to Matlock Bath 17th February 2002

After a grey start to the day the clouds parted and hey presto blue skies.....

Finally after one false start we all got away from my house at 11.30, 4 Vmax's - myself, Geoff, Alan, Slim and Smokin' Paul B on his 1200 Bandit.

The run up to Matlock Bath was under clear blue skies and the temperature on the winter side of warm, on mainly dry roads, the route took us to
Matlock Bath via .Hopwas, Alrewas, Kingsbourne, Sudbury, Ashbourne, Carsington Water with a single stop for fuel along the way.

We finally arrived at 1.15pm to be met by Rusty & Natasha, Roger (joker too) & Tina, the former in the car the latter on the Vmax.

Coffee and cakes were the first order of the day, in a very nice little cafe found by Rusty, spotted another 2 maxes and gave out site details,
so if you found us orangemaxman and yellowmaxGIRL, welcome,

After wandering round Matlock Bath for about an hour we said our goodbyes and headed back to our various destinations, again under clear
skies but the temperature noticeably lower than earlier in the day.
